Optimist A: Entry level class for students 8-11 years of age and /or less than 120 pounds.  Class emphasizes water safety, basic knowledge, rigging, confidence and team work. Students will, at the end of this course, be able to navigate all points of sail without assistance. 20 Maximum Participants, 2 Coaches 1 Junior Helper.

Optimist B: Intermediate level class designed for students 8-11 years of age and/or less than 120 pounds with a successful completion of Optimist A or equivalent program.  Class teaches more advance sailing and emphasizes water safety, basic-intermediate sailing knowledge, reinforcing confidence and team work. 10 Maximum Participants, 1 Coach, 1 Junior Helper.

420 A: Entry level class designed for students at least 12 years old and/or 120 pounds.  Class emphasizes water safety, basic knowledge of rigging sailboat, confidence and team work. Students will be paired daily with their peers to sail the Club 420. Students will, at the end of this course, be able to navigate all points of sail without assistance from coaches. 14 Maximum Participants, 1 Coach, 1 Junior Helper.

420 B: Intermediate level class designed for students at least 12 years old and/or 120 pounds WHO HAVE PASSED 420A or equivalent. Class consists of more advanced sailing techniques, water safety, intermediate sailing knowledge and an introduction to racing. 8 Maximum Participants, 1 Coach.

Optimist Race Team: For the advanced sailor upon approval of the Program Director.  Student must be less than 120 pounds and demonstrate advanced sailing skills.  This is a traveling team, representing EPYC across MA and New England. 10 Maximum Participants, 1 Optimist Race Coach.

420 Race Team: For the advanced sailor upon approval of the Program Director.  Students must be at least 120 pounds and demonstrate advanced sailing skills in the double-handed Club 120.  This is a traveling team, representing EPYC across MA and New England. 8 Maximum Participants, 1 420 Race Coach.

Harbor Mice Program: For the 5-7 year old student. STUDENTS MUST BE AT LEAST 5 YEARS OLD ON DAY OF INSTRUCTION. Students in this program are introduced to the water through a variety of preparatory on-the-water activities such as swimming, rowing, sailboat steering, sailing with an instructor, etc. 14 Maximum Participants, 1 Coach, 1 Junior Helper.
